What about no sales tax?

No Sales Tax on Internet Sales?

In the Constitution there is a little clause that prevents taxation on goods crossing state lines. This has recently been subject to much debate, what with the internet making interstate sales much more easier and common. The popular belief though is with the huge differences from state to state in their various sales tax laws, it would put an unecessary burden on small businesses to calculate appropriate sales taxes for areas outside of their own state. Thus, businesses are only subject to collect sales tax on sales in states where they have a "significant presence". Items you can purchase tax-free online might surprise you!

Mrs. Fields Gifts, IncEvery day, Centsible.net's Deal of the Day blog will feature a different online store. We'll let you know where they collect sales tax and where they don't.
