How much savings does this mean and what are the shipping charges?

Depending on the state and event the city or county you live in, your state sales tax savings vary wildly for clothing. California's sales taxes on clothing run between 7% and 9%, whereas other states like Minnesota and New York do NOT charge sales tax on clothing. This topic is a tricky one and you'll have to do a lot of searching to get a good answer. In fact, the most relevant thing a layperson (and not a tax professional) can tell you is just to check the clothing sales tax rate for your locale. Here in Chicago our sales tax is the highest in the country at a cumulative 10.25%.. Standard delivery for Sierra Trading Post's clothing, footwear and sporting goods depends on the method of shipment requested, your delivery location and the total dollar value of your order. Standard shipping charges vary between $5.95 and $16.95: add $10 for UPS 2-Day delivery or $20 for UPS 1-Day delivery. Sierra Trading Post does offer free shipping promotions from time to time as well. The Centsible opinion is to weigh this sales tax break out based on your location. Shipping rates are reasonable and the sales tax savings can be significant based on your local legislature.

Is this a good deal for you?

That depends on where you live. If you're in Nevada, Idaho or Wyoming its not a factor as you'll be paying sales tax. New Yorkers and Minnesota shoppers also won't see much of an incentive here. But for Chicagoans, maybe shoppers in California and certainly other people around the country this could prove to be a savings strategy!
